MacArthur reads a map. Supplies are unloaded at Rolampont. Shows a machine gun assembly contest between Fr. and U.S. teams. Gen. Menoher reviews the 165th. 166th inf. troops repair roads and shore up trenches. Reel 2, 117th Engrs. build a camp at Croismare. The 165th enters trenches and eats at a field kitchen. Menoher and MacArthur attend burial services. 149th F.A. emplacements are shelled. Patrols return to U.S. lines. Signal Bn. troops repay and install telephone lines. 150th F.A. guns are fired. Reel 3, Menoher and Fr. officers decorate 168th Inf. men at Croismare. Menoher and Sec. Baker inspect 166th Inf. units and visit graves. Horses and shells are unloaded at Baccarat. Menoher and MacArthur decorate graves at Baccarat. Y.M.C.A. dancers perform. Shows dugouts of the 165th at Chasseurs. Reel 5, the 165th receives clothing and pay, fires mortars and machine guns, and entrains. Menoher watches tank maneuvers. Small arms are repaired at a mobile shop. St. Hilaire is occupied. Wounded arrive at Suippes. Troops enter Chateau Thierry. Reel 6, supply trains move up. 149th F.A. units occupy Le Four. The 117th repairs roads. Shows ruins in Sergy. Memorial services are held for Quentin Roosevelt. Pershing, MacArthur, Lenihan, and Menoher decorate and review the 84th Inf.Brigade. Refugees return to Essey, 151st F.A. guns bombard Haumont. Horses are watered. Engrs. erect barbed-wire fences and dig trenches. Reel 7, roads are constructed. 149th F.A. men wash munitions carts, water horses, and sort-shells. F.A. units march through Vieux Virton, Belg. Troops enter Mersch, Luxemburg; and cross the Sauer into Echternach, Ger. Shows Gen. Caldwell. Bollendorf, Bettingen, and Bierrsborn are entered. The 117th Field Signal Bn. enters Pelm. Reel 8, horses are watered. Supply trains emerge from the Alternahr Tunnel. The 167th occupies Sinzig. 168th units inspect Hindenburg Line defenses. 166th troops attend religious services in Unklebach. The 117th Field Signal Bn. is reviewed. The 167th maneuvers at Lohndorf. Shows a football game. Pershing inspects and reviews the division at Remagen.
